Our mission is to provide honest, professional (yet affordable) lawn care for those in the east Atlanta area (Stone Mountain, Tucker, Decatur, Lithonia Snellville Lilburn, Lawrenceville and surrounding).

I got my start in the landscaping business in Atlanta at young age mowing lawns in my neighborhood in high school and then grew the business through college. I didn't have access to college financial assistance so I have my lawn care clients to thank for helping me pay my way through earning my Bachelor's degree at Georgia State University in business administration graduating in 2011.

Earning my degree in business has been a major help in growing my lawn care company. The professional skills I learned at Georgia State helped me become my own business advisor , and skills such as marketing and finance have proven to be key growing and running my company. Most importantly , my customers tell me I bring a level professionalism that is not common in the lawn care industry to the customer relationship. So my formal education has given me source of competitive advantage and helps me stand out apart fromt the other lawn care services around Atlanta ultimately earning my landscaping clientele.

Since the summer of 2007 I have been able to grow my lawn care service from six customers to 168 ongoing lawn accounts . During the peak season our team consists 8 trained professionals. Every one if our lawn technicians has been personally trained by me to meet our customer's expectations. For quality control and to make sure our customers are pleased with our lawn service, I will personally inspect our crews work to keep my team on their toes.

One of the main things that sets our company apart from other lawn care companies around Atlanta is our communication. It sounds simple, but it makes all the difference in the world. I begin every relationship with our future lawn customers is to first try to find out where their previous landscaper let them down, so I can not make the same mistakes that previous lawn care company made avoiding their mistakes . Then I find out what their objectives are for other lawn, as some of our customers want year round care, so during the winter time we will come every other week to make sure their lawn is in tip top shape year round.

I got my start in the landscaping business with my brother who has been mowing lawns for one of the biggest companies in the United States, the Brickman company. After working there for about 5 years, he decided it was time to take the skills he learned running a team at Brickman and apply them operating his own business.. At the time, I was in the restaurant buisness and I also was looking for a change of career. I was a partner in a sports bar and in a seafood restaurant in Buford Georgia and also Alpharetta, Georgia.

Once I realized I that I wanted a change, I sold my interests in those businesses and invested that money to start SAO Landscape Group. If I can say one thing about business it is that they are all challenging, and you need to love what you do.

SAO stands for my the initials of my two sons and my brothers name. The inspiration of using my two sons is to always remind me that I have started this business as an investment in their future. One day I plan to pass our landscaping business in Atlanta on to them.

Originally my brother and I from Acapulco Mexico , we migrated to the United States 16 years ago in search of a brighter futures. Ultimately we chose to settle in the Atlanta area because our family lived in the here, specifically in the towns of Buford ,Jonesboro, and Duluth. We will mow lawns in Johns Creek Ga also.

Together we have been in the landscaping business for about 5 years , and over that time we have grown the business to 85 weekly lawn mowing customers. Mostly we provide mowing for our clients, however for most of them we also do extra services like mulch and pine straw. On top of that we provide irrigation, hardscapes, retaining walls. Recently be also started offering flower bed design and installation. Basically if it needs to be done in the yard, we offer it.

We keep a full time crew mowing lawns throughout the week. We run a commercial grade 48” Exmark Walk Behind, we also run Stihl trimmers. So we can accommodate our customers with small fence gates, we also keep a small push mower to get into those back yards.

We mostly service clients north and east of I-85 in Duluth, Lawrenceville, Flowery Branch, and Cummings, Georgia. We will also go up to the Alpharetta area as well if a customer needs us there. We also offer lawn mowing service in Roswell GA if you live in that area.

I like to think about my customers as my friends, so I treat them with respect. If someone gets a little behind on their bill with me , we will work with them. At the end of the day , it's not just landscaping that I do, I serve people. This is a people business, if you take care of people they will refer their friends to you. This is the basis that I have built my business from.

Primarily , my landscaping company here in Atlanta is my passion, growing it, and earning customers business is what I love to do. It is my work, and my hobby.

Eddie Clarke is originally from , Ohio and moved to Buford March of this year. Eddie worked as a landscaper for 15 years in Ohio but moved down south to get away from the cold weather. In Ohio, Eddie ran a successful landscaping business and had over 150 customers and worked for 22 commercial properties. In Georgia, Eddie has approximately 50 customers, 20 of which are weekly clients. He thinks the most successful marketing tactics include using flyers and Google Adwords. However, he also attributes his success to word of mouth.

Eddie services Buford, Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Auburn, Duluth, Cummings, Johns Creek, Oakwood, Lawrenceville and Gainesville. Occasionally we will cut yards in Decatur GA for a property managment company we have a relationship with. Aside from mowing, Eddie also trims bushes, mows lawns, does pruning up to 13ft and uses pine straw. Eddie firmly believes that customer care is one of the most important aspects of his work. As a result, Eddie always tries to go above and beyond for his customers. For example, one time a lady believed she saw a lizard in her basement and called Eddie to remove the reptile. Eddie quickly came and discovered that the reptile was in fact, a snake. Although Eddie was petrified of the snake, he decided to conquer his fears and remove the six-foot snake from her home.

Although Eddie made a big risk moving to Georgia, he did it because he loves being outdoors and the weather is more favorable in Georgia than in Ohio. Last year, Eddie decided to experience the outdoors on a whole new level by hunting, fishing and travelling the world. Nevertheless, he is back to landscaping and is enjoying it more than ever.

I've been in the landscaping business for 15 years. I started out doing my parents and neighbors house and then got a job as a groundskeeper in a cemetery. After working there I started my own business where I got into mowing and grew to over 150 residential customers and over 20 commercial accounts. I sold my business and moved to Buford Ga from ohio where I've been cutting grass and doing landscaping. How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
