Madison is the county seat in the state of Mississippi in the county with the same name (Madison County). It is located on the central northern border of Mississippi, and the population settled in the three thousand marks in 2000. As of the last recording of the population in 2004, the population was calculated to be 3,195. Among the area in Madison County, Madison lies right in the middle of the county. The land area of the city was calculated to be three square miles, where 2.55 square miles of that was land and 0.05 square miles of water. The elevation of the city sat at two hundred feet above sea level. What was known as Madison County in the early 1800s was a land that was conquered by several nations including Great Britain, Spain, and then the United States. The area was developed for plantations, mostly cotton, and was dependent on the enslavement of African Americans.
Strangely enough, racism pervades throughout this area. What they proclaim as their history involving the enslavement of human beings is seen as cultural pride for some reason. Racial violence against African Americans was at its height during the Reconstruction era. It peaked in the twentieth century. In Madison, there were several lynchings that occurred as late as 1906. Twelve blacks were also lynched in the county courthouse in the early twentieth century. Suppression of black voters by white citizens also increased during this time, and active disenfranchisement of these citizens was seen as a civic duty. At the time, blacks were virtually left powerless and excluded from politics which shaped the course of the area for years to come.

Thank you for your great service. The smaller square bushes were trimmed exactly as I liked them: polished. If you would not mind, please prune the larger, round shrubs to ensure the flyaways don’t cross out of the flowerbed border and appear more rounded.
Great job! Please make the lawn a little shorter/ lower if possible! Thanks for your service!
