Hello! My name is Tristan James and I am the Owner/Operator of Legion Lawn and Pool. Legion Lawn and Pool started in May, 2019. We, myself and my partner Cason Thompson, officially created the LLC at that point, but we have been doing work in the area for years. We are from Smyrna, former Bulldog Basketball players are out looking to make a name for themselves in the town we call home and the cities around us. We treat every property like our own, because our commitment has no limit. We are family men ourselves and we want your property to have that home feel to it, even if it means handpicking a few weeds when manicuring the edge or whatever it may be. We will get it done, and we will do it well!
How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
I’ve been cutting grass for 7 years now, on and off. I’ve been servicing HOA pools for the last 2 years. This is a hobby and a passion of mine, outside work makes me feel alive so I decided to finally pursue a full time career that allows me not to be coupled up in an office all day. I’m graduating with a degree in finance in August and my favorite professor, who teaches entrepreneurial finance, inspired me to take advantage of the opportunity at hand by starting my own business.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
We started this business the right way. As an LLC, we created a solid foundation from the start, whereas many landscaping “companies” don’t even consider this idea until business is too much to handle. We are efficient strategists who decided to put our all into this business idea, not the typical lawn care guys who have been cutting grass for years and decided to turn it into an LLC or something similar. Additionally, we accept all forms of payment: check, cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, and most debit/credit cards.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
We advise you to utilize this app! Do your due diligence when finding a provider by browsing the services areas and ratings, but also take a chance on the startup companies. Also, to give Legion Lawn and Pool a chance to prove to you we provide quality services at a quality price!
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
I enjoy getting up early and working late, and I absolutely love to work outside. It gives me life, and I feel more alive than ever when I walk away knowing I put my all into each and every property. The fact that every day is a new day that brings new opportunities is so refreshing, easily allowing one to always stay optimistic.
What areas do you mainly service?
We service a 40 mile radius from Smyrna, but we focus on Rutherford, Williamson, and Davidson counties.
