Infinity Brown Landscaping in Louisville KY takes pride in serving its residential and commercial property clients throughout the seasons. We also proudly serve the New Albany area. The flow and regulation of moisture on your property is a priority for our fully licensed and insured team of professionals. We prefer to start with a gutter cleaning and soil audit, along with checking the flow of moisture. This includes everything from adjusting the downspouts to adding or removing soil in specific areas to adjust the flow. The goal is to prevent portions of the landscape from becoming muddy, soggy, or too dry.
Our landscaping services include monitoring your irrigation system (if you have one), whether drip irrigation or a sprinkler system. Even a single broken sprinkler head can increase the water bill while depriving portions of your lawn from much needed moisture. Our landscape design team can create a custom irrigation system, and/or can handle the watering as scheduled on a regular basis. This includes properties which are sloped and/or have unusual shapes, corners, or size. Having proper moisture flow throughout the year also helps when it comes to weed control, and for properties which grow fruits or vegetables. You can also count on us for pest control, knowing that our team utilizes environmentally friendly pesticides while being aware of children and pets on the property.
Clients also receive our expert trimming, edging, and pruning of trees and shrubs of any size, including planting or replanting. We maintain all species of plants and flowers, and can create a garden area for a yard, patio, or anywhere within your outdoor living space. Our services are available for scheduled landscape maintenance, whether requested for weekly, every 10 days, or monthly visits. We do our best to meet your landscaping goals, and offer a free no obligation initial consultation. You can hire Infinity Brown directly through the GreenPal App!

Family Ties Landscaping provides affordable landscaping for Louisville KY and surrounding areas including Indiana for residential and commercial properties. Scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly landscape maintenance plans are available, whether with high maintenance or low maintenance requirement. We also have affiliates further south toward the Bowling Green area.
Regardless of the number of trees, shrubs, and plants on your property, our insured and licensed team is able to take care of the cultivating, pruning, and trimming on a regular basis, as well as a flower garden. Meanwhile, our landscape design team can create a reduced maintenance plan which adds curb appeal. Examples are adding mulch or rock areas to replace or enhance a soggy or dried lawn area, or to adjust the flow of moisture. These are often concerns, since Louisville typically receives eight inches more rain per year than the national average. Doing so also helps to reduce long-term maintenance costs, while also playing a role in preventing weeds and other problems. In addition, seasonal services include gutter cleaning, soil audits, and pest control. You can also inquire about our deep cleaning service, whether for an emergency or to create additional space by removing unused parts, machinery, or debris.
Our team can take on properties of any size, including apartment or condo complexes, townhouse communities, and commercial and industrial properties. Power washing, leaf blowing, and waste removal services (whether exterior or interior) are also available. We can enhance or maintain parking areas, clubhouses, mail rooms, and other common areas, while giving a consistent look for residents and visitors to enjoy. This includes working with an HOA or other organization, as well as multiple properties. Scheduled maintenance can be arranged while working within your budget. Our full-service team of professionals does much more than the essentials of landscape maintenance, including our one-time and seasonal services. This includes deep cleaning of the exterior (debris removal, storage shed, patio or deck area, play area, etc.) along with waste removal and hauling of exterior or interior areas. Pest control is also available, complete with the use of environmentally friendly pesticides. We also can create and install fountains, bird baths, and the necessary components for growing fruits and vegetables in a row or crop.
For Fall Cleaning, we handle leaf removal, general cleanup, and, if needed, removal of plants and shrubs which are either spent or need to be moved indoors in order to survive the Winter months. We can also power wash and other deep cleaning services, along with soil audits.
As a local and family owned and operated landscaping firm, our fully licensed crew is aware of the importance of establishing a plan through landscape design and doing what it takes to make it happen throughout the year. Of course, we provide the important ongoing landscape maintenance services, whether on a weekly, 10-day, or monthly schedule. One of the reasons that Perfection provides the best landscaping in Louisville is that we examine our work once complete. Our clients do not have problems such as shrubs or tree branches blocking a walkway or entrance. If we encounter dry or soggy areas within your outdoor living space, we will explore other options such as adding mulch or rocks to eliminate the problem. It could also be a matter of rerouting the downspouts or adding soil in those spots in order to better absorb the moisture. You can hire us direct through the GreenPal App!

Let's face it, finding reliable landscaping is difficult. Between scheduling and no-show time after time, it can be a real pain to keep up with your lawn maintenance needs. We have a solution.
Louisville KY is known for its industrial contributions to the nation’s economy as much as it is known for fun venues such as Churchill Downs (home of the Kentucky Derby) and the Louisville Slugger Museum. The largest city in Kentucky is also flanked by several prominent Indiana communities situated just across the Ohio River, by which downtown Louisville is located. While experiencing all four seasons each year, the region typically receives roughly eight inches more rain each year than the national average.
Louisville’s many parks and recreational facilities include the Louisville Zoo, the Cave Hill Arboretum, Cherokee Park, McNeely Lake Park, and the nearby Jefferson County Memorial Forest. The added moisture from precipitation and the large number of parks and lakes makes this a wonderful area for successful landscaping.
Several species of larger trees are excellent choices, including the River Birch, Northern Catalpa, and Hackberry. Each of these grows to heights of 40 to 70 feet. Since the latter two are native to the region, they can handle full sun and only partial shade. If your property enables even larger native trees, the Kentucky Coffee Tree grows to 50 to 70 feet, has high drought tolerance, and has no pests or diseases of major concern. The Ginkgo Tree and its “fan shaped” leaves are also drought tolerant and pest resistant, growing up to 80 feet tall. If you prefer smaller to medium native trees (20 to 30 feet range), the Serviceberry, Pawpaw, and Yellowwood are strong choices.
Fruit trees which are native to Kentucky include the Black Cherry, Persimmon, Sassafras, and Red Mulberry. Apple trees are also popular and are typically low maintenance. Be aware that Lemon trees and Citrus plants are not able to withstand cold temperatures. It is possible to grow them in containers which could be moved in to a greenhouse (or warm facility) for the surrounding and winter months.
When it comes to native plants, choices include the Coral Honeysuckle, Eastern Redbud, Crossvine, New England Aster, and Prairie Dropseed. For larger properties, there are several crops which do well in the Louisville KY climate each year. These include Lettuce, Cucumbers, Bush Beans, Peas, Peppers, Rhubarb, and Potatoes. Note that Louisville is in USDA Hardiness Zones 6B and 7 A.
For flowers, there are several varieties of annuals which do well locally. These include the Wishbone, Scaevola, Purslane, Pentas, Lantana, and Angelonia. Additional native flowers include the Aster, Ironweed, and Goldenrod.
Choices should be based on considerations such as the regular amounts of sunlight they would receive. Keep in mind that the house, garage, and larger trees could have additional impact. The type(s) of soil on your property can also have a bearing. For example, there may be differences in the growth and success probability with limestone based, clay, rocky, or sandy soil. Selecting native plants typically helps because they tend to be low-maintenance. Benefits also include fertilization and improved weed control and pest control conditions. The right selection and cultivation should result in having the trees, plants, crops, and/or flowers you and your family can enjoy for years to come!

Frequently Asked Questions
The answer depends on the type of sod you have chosen. If you are using Kentucky Bluegrass or tall fescue, your best time to seed is between mid-August and late September. It is during this time that the temperatures begin to cool. However, it is also acceptable to seed during the Spring (mid-March to mid-June). The Spring period is typically best for other types of sod, just as lawns are recovering from the impact of the Winter months. Tall fescue is the most common turf in the area, primarily because of its ability to adapt to conditions up to medium shade.
For the Louisville area, including the nearby Indiana communities, there are several popular choices. The Purple Milkweed is best for full sun areas, growing up to three feet tall, while the Sweet Coneflower thrives in full sun with partial shade and grows up to four feet. Other popular choices include the Winterberry, Wild Columbine, and Scarlett Bee Balm, each of which are perennials. Each require a thorough amount of sunshine in order to properly bloom.
Landscape maintenance typically ranges between $30 and $150 per hour. There are several variables, including the size and scope of your property. Lawn size, the number and size of trees, shrubs, plants, and flowers are also cost factors. Some property owners prefer scheduled maintenance on a weekly basis, while others prefer less frequent. Other cost factors include the size and experience of the landscaping crew. When it comes to one-time special landscaping projects, costs can range anywhere from $400 to $40,000. Variables include whether or not landscape architecture, construction, and hauling are required, in addition to the cost of materials, delivery, installation, and project management.
Because Louisville typically receives more than eight inches more rain each year than the national average, the need for a full irrigation system is not as great as it is in full-time hot weather areas. There are several important factors to consider in making this decision. Some properties are large and/or have varying degrees of sun, shade, and lawn, trees, or plants. Other properties are sloped, which can significant influence the flow and distribution of moisture. In some cases, the property owner prefers to have an automated or easy system to operate and maintain. Categories of irrigation systems to choose from are a sprinkler system, surface irrigation, or drip irrigation. Drip irrigation consists of installed underground tubes and pumps. While the most eco friendly, it can be the most expensive to install while saving money in the long run.
Fertilize in early spring and autumn. The exact time depends on your soil and type of grass.
Use a mix of different weed killers before and after weeds grow. Also, mow and water your lawn the right way.
It's up to you. If you have time and want to learn, you can do it yourself. But hiring a service is easier and they know a lot.
In Louisville, tall fescue grass works great. You can also use Kentucky bluegrass or zoysia grass.
Watch out for grubs, chinch bugs, and Japanese beetles. Each pest needs a different way to be controlled.
Mow your lawn once or twice a week. Try to keep the grass around 3 to 4 inches tall.
