Ernest Contreras has always had a love for lawn mowing. When he was younger, he always wanted to ride on the mower and handle all of the lawn care for his family's home. So when Ernest was old enough, he started working for one of the largest landscaping companies in the Houston area. After 7 years with that company, Contreras decided that it was time to branch out on his own so he officially started Contreras Lawn & Landscape in 2001.

Having lived in Texas his entire life, him and his family have called Houston home for the last 15 years. "Houston is a great place to start a business due to all of the growth and also a great place to raise a family," Ernest says.

Mainly serving the Houston area, Ernest and his crew also mow lawns in Sugar Land, Texas, Cinco Ranch, Bellaire, Mission Bend, Meadows Place, Fresno, Pearland, Westchase, Piney Point Village, Hedwig Village, and even cuts yards in Katy, Texas.

Contreras Lawn & Landscape has grown to over 100 happy homeowners and also services many commercial properties including several HOA's, gas stations, and office buildings.

Ernest contributes his success to his hard work and his clear communication with his customers. "I make sure that we try to meet with everyone single homeowner and make sure that we are doing exactly what they want and need," Ernest explains. "We want all of our customer's lawns to be the envy of the neighborhood so we make sure we take our time and do whatever it takes to make it perfect."

Not only will Ernest and his crew be your go-to when it comes to regular lawn maintenance, they can also handle mulching, pavers, retaining walls, lawn and landscape lighting, shrub and bush trimming, sodding, landscape design, low level tree trimming, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and leaf removal.

Ernest credits his meticulous nature and his love for seeing a finished product as the reasons why he was drawn to this industry. "Seeing something that I dreamed about come to life is very satisfying," Contreras says. "What is even better is seeing the homeowner in awe when they see what you created."

Contreras loves spending time with his family when he has an free time. They love to BBQ, go fishing, and visiting any of the local parks.
