Overall, Mike's actual lawn service went quite well for a first time, as well as, initial/prior communication, and our meeting the day of service. Following service (which was delayed a couple of days with my ok), however, after I followed up about agreed checking back before his departure, his eventual reply and notice of "gracefully" declining continued servicing contradicted with his just prior text: "I appreciate you! Look forward to helping in the future!" and another text: "I believe in building for the future" as he exclaimed he did me a "solid". He also messaged that most would charge double his bid for my yard to which I replied that I had never paid that much and the vast majority of bids I'd received over multiple years weren't near that doubled amount. There was more communication which was all amicable and we wished each other well. My stance is that GP provides enough up front information for the vendor to assess and provide a bid. I definitely don't like when some want to increase the price either after visiting or immediately after the first service... Or reverse course after receiving some open and honest information and feedback. I get the apps design is for both parties to determine whether or not services will be continued after the first service. In summary, overall his actual work went well but his follow-on contradiction didn't nor will this help him accomplish his goal of building for the future.
