And when they eventually depart this world, we are left with a massive monument, a totem to their being in the form of a gigantic piece of wood stuck deep inside the earth. But once you have cut down a tree, and are left with the stump. How do you remove it?

The most common method to remove a stump is to use the aptly called stump grinder which will quickly grind away the remaining bits of the stump. The second method, my favorite, is to burn the stump. But this can only be done if the location is safe to do so.

Removing a stump with fire is the most affordable way to remove a stump from your lawn. If the stump is located where it is safe to do so, grab a 50-gallon barrel with no bottom and use it to set a fire over the stump. Feed the fire until the stump is removed.
