Working with a larger landscaping company, one can learn the ins-and-outs and dos-and-don'ts of running the business. Andres Portillo did just that. After working for a national landscaping company for over 5 years, he decided it was time to go out on his own. He found a person that was selling their landscaping business and Andres went for it. That was 3 years ago and Portillo hasn’t looked back.

Andres has lived in the Houston area for over 28 years. "The weather is great here for landscaping pretty much all year around and the growth of this city is amazing to watch," Portillo boasts. "We love seeing the city and the people prosper."

Portillo has grown his customer base to over 50 happy homeowners and also services a few commercial properties in the Katy area.

He credits his growth on doing his best work every time he mows. "If you do your best job possible, you will have the best shot at winning their business for life," Andres explains. "We go try to above and beyond for all of our customers and we will do whatever it takes to make them happy. Even if it means hiring more people if we are backed up or ever behind."

Not only will Andres and his crew handle your regular lawn maintenance, they can also handle your mulching, shrub and bush trimming, gutter cleaning, wood fencing, pressure washing, low level tree trimming, and sodding.

Andres loves the fact that he is able to work with his hands every day and enjoys working with his customers on a daily basis. "I love seeing a finished product and getting to know all of my customers and what they expect with their lawns," Portillo says. "Being outside is just a bonus!"

Portillo is married with 6 kids. They love spending time together bike riding at the Memorial Park in Houston, Texas. He is also huge soccer fan and supports the Houston Dynamo and Barcelona. Portillo is a graduate of Alief Middle School and Westbury High School on Chimney Rock Road in Houston.

The family loves to go eat at Wings N More in Houston and and Wings' n Things in Missouri City, Texas.
