This Pro Story

My name is John & I have 2 sons who I hope will continue on with Unique LawnCare & Landscaping when they become adults. My wife Christy & I have just celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this year on 4/16/2024. She truly is my rock. I don’t think I would have taken the leap & started this new journey without her. She pushes me everyday to be the person that I am.

I’ve been doing landscaping for about 15 years & I enjoy it very much. We started our business in Georgia & after an unexpected setback (house fire), we were forced to take a leap of faith & move here to Alabama to start all over again. It’s been a long hard road but I have to say the end results will be worth it.

In my spare time, which I haven’t had in awhile, I enjoy fishing, hunting & woodworking. I have a few unfinished projects that I will get back to when I’m able. One of those being a large American Flag with the Air-Force symbol on it made from pallet boards. This one is for my wife.

She adds 2 sons, 2 daughters & currently 2 grandsons & 3 granddaughters to our family. Her youngest son is currently enlisted in the Air-Force & has been stationed in Japan for 5 years. His feet are currently back on US soil in his hometown in Florida. This is not easy for her so I guess you could say I am her rock too.

How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?

I’ve been in the landscaping business for 15 years. My inspiration came from a love of nature and a desire to transform ordinary spaces into beautiful, functional outdoor environments. Plus, there’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of seeing a well-manicured lawn and knowing you had a hand in creating it!

What do you like most about the lawn care industry?

What I love most about the lawn care business is being outside and working with nature. But above all, I enjoy creating beautiful lawns and landscapes for my customers to enjoy. There’s something incredibly rewarding about transforming a space and seeing the joy it brings to those who use it.

Sylacauga, Childersburg but I will go up to about 35 miles from Sylacauga.
