Josh Larew has always loved working with his hands. In 2004, he started a screen enclosure company and when the recession hit, he noticed that the banks needed someone to keep up the lawns with the foreclosed homes in the area. So in 2010, he partnered with a few banks and started Tropicare Landscape and Maintenance.

The Florida native has spent all of his live in Orlando and wouldn’t have it any other way. "I have spent my whole life in the area, I have all my family in the area, and I have all my friends here too. Orlando is my home," Larew says.

Larew has built up his homeowners to over 70 satisfied customers and is looking to add on many more.

Tropicare Landscape mows lawns in Orlando, Florida, Conway, Union Park, Azalea Park, Alafaya, and even cuts grass in Winter Park, Florida. They also service many residents in the Waterford Lakes areas in east Orlando.

Mainly focusing on primarily lawn care, Josh will also prune your bushes and shrubs, spray your weeds and beds, and handle your low level tree trimming.

When asked what brought him his success in the business, Josh replied "My attention to detail." He goes on to add, "We mow slow and make sure everything looks perfect. I will personally never leave a property if a homeowner is not happy. Call it OCD or whatever you want but my lawns always look the best."

When Josh is able to take a break from mowing, he loves to fresh water and salt water fish. He is also loves working out and staying fit. "Both fishing and working out are an outlet for me. They are my polar opposite stress relievers when I need to blow off some steam," Larew explains.

His love for being outside and being self-employed are his main reasons for enjoying the lawn care industry so much. "This profession allows me to be outside in the Orlando weather, make my own hours, and see a product some to life," Josh says. "It’s a wonderful business to be in."

Josh also loves to spend time with his parents and sisters that also live in the Orlando area.

You can find Josh either at Carrabbas, Outback Steakhouse, or Jimmy Hula's on Lake Underhill Road when he is wanting to relax and get a good meal.
