The corporate life for Tim Esquilla just wasn’t his calling. So in 2001 after being in management for over 10 years, he decided that he was going full time into the landscaping business.

Tim explains, "We were sitting around at Thanksgiving with my family, talking about it, and so I made up my mind right then and there that I was done with the corporate grind." "Everyone was laughing just thinking that I was joking…except for my wife," Tim laughs. "She knew I was serious!"

Tim started out with just a small riding Murray mower and was just doing neighbors and friends lawns to pick up some extra money.

That is not the case any longer.

His company now services over 25 recurring residential properties and also has some very large corporate accounts in the Middle Tennessee area.

Tim and his crew are currently servicing the Gallatin, Bethpage, Portland, Hendersonville, Madison, East Nashville, and Springfield Tennessee areas.

Other than your regular landscaping, Tim will also handle your mulching, shrub, bush, and tree trimming, and snow removal needs.

The South Fort Worth, Texas native credits much of his success to knowing his craft. "Anybody can mow a lawn, but it takes someone to know where and how to cut," Esquilla explains. "Also, I like getting to know my customers and consider them all friends. I believe that if they know me on a personal level, they will trust me with their lawn."

When Tim is not out servicing his customers, he is the leader of the Youth Group at His Church and also enjoys camping, backpacking and fishing for trout at the Caney Fork in McMinnville, Tn.

When asked what drew him to this industry, Tim said "I love being outside and love mowing. Being behind a desk all day is not who I am."

Tim and his wife have lived in Bethpage, Tn for over 21 years and have a 14 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. His son enjoys helping him with the mowing and has been mowing since the age of 2.

How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?

I have been in business for 15 years. I started by mowing a few residential lawns on the side and realized that there was a need for reliable lawn service.

How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?

Reliable, in the past 15 years I have seen new companies launch and by the end of the season they are gone. I believe in giving the customer a fair price and personal service. I am here to support my family and that's why I deliver quality service.

What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

Although references are a great way to check a company out you also need to know about their insurance and if they have a business license to operate a business.

What do you like most about the lawn care industry?

I enjoy making a personal relationship with every customer and providing them with professional service every time.
