How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
I've been in the landscaping industry for just under 10 years. I've worked in all areas of the field. I was a crew lead as a mow guy for 3 years. I moved over to a landscape only business for a couple years to gain experience in that field. After the landscaping I moved over to manager for a medium/large lawncare company as a lawn technician diagnosing lawn diseases, identifying invasive insects that target grass aswell as flying insects known for eating rose bushes we also ran the basic 4 or 7 step fertilizing and weed control programs.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
Every single lawn is edged, mowed flat and to homeowner specifications and blown off every single time. We dont cut corners that only creates 2 more. We will hit that hidden area every time. We are not a large company and have the time to be personable with the homeowner. Nobody wants the people they hire to rush and leave a messed up job.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
The larger the company the less personable they tend to be. In my time as an employee with companys in the St. Charles county area I found the smaller company's usually had much better customer interaction. The big company's generally tend to rush in an effort to mow 20-30 houses a day. The smaller companys generally 10-20 a day had more time to pay attention to detail and slow down on the lawns drastically reducing the chances of scalping a lawn or leaving ugly turn around marks.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
My favorite part about landscaping is taking a blank canvas and adding a nice retaining wall, mulching beds and leaving a nice flat cut and nicely edged lawn.
What areas do you mainly service?
I mainly service St. Charles, St. Peter's, O'Fallon and wentzville but have routes in St. Louis county aswell.
