This Pro's Story
My name is Anthony Ray I’m a new retiree from the US Army after 22 years of service.My most recent MOS was as a US Army Recruiter and was stationed in San Diego California, Owensboro Kentucky and Cleveland Ohio. I’m married with three adult kids and one grandson and a granddaughter on the way soon.I started cutting grass when I bought my first house in 2005. I loved cutting my own yard at home in Nashville TN. I liked the outcome of the yard lines and edging. I began to cutting lawns as a subcontractor in 2014 when I was stationed in Kentucky.I would cut lawns on the weekend. I enjoyed it and realized that mowing lawns was something that I could see myself doing as a career. I started to get extra job mowing lawns in 2014 but was then stationed in Cleveland Ohio in Oct 2014. That ended my lawn cutting for 1 year except for my visits home where I cut my own lawn. I only had one year to be in Cleveland because I was due to retire soon. I finally started my early retirement Feb 2016. Iimmediately beganthinking of my future plans to supplement my income. My first choice of course, “Mowing Lawns”. I started subcontracting again under my company name “Ray’s Reliable Lawn Service”. Sometimes I cut as many as 12 yards a day. The yards that I cut ranged from Large Homes in the Franklin TN, Brentwood areas, Portland TN, and other Surrounding Nashville areas, I have cut the yard of a Tennessee Titan’s Football player, A country Music Musician and others, all while getting Praises for the professional job that I do every time. I take pride in the work that I do when I cut other people’s lawn. I pride myself on making sure that the job that I do is no less than what I would do and want done to my own yard.
