This Pro's Story
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read about me. Ever since I was younger, I had an innate passion for lawn care. Experimenting with different grasses, maintenance methods, and equipment was always intriguing. I paid for my first vehicle, summer wrestling camps and college from my high school summer days. That transcended into college where I studied Turf Grass Management and Landscape Architecture and Design at North Carolina State University. I worked at a platinum level country club in Raleigh, NC for 6 years before moving to Virginia Beach. Some individuals just “cut” grass, but there’s more to just chopping it off. There’s elements to advising the customer as to what will keep their lawn healthy and thriving during seasons throughout the year. Outside of doing this, I enjoy paddle boarding and fishing, duck hunting in the winter, and skydiving on the weekends.
How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
Throughout my youth, time working on golf courses and driving ranges, and studying this area, I’ve been off and on. I joined GreenPal April 2021 to utilize the networking and ease of use capabilities the app has to offer
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
Grass shouldn’t just be cut, it should be cared for.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
I actually care. You just need your grass cut? Got it. You have people coming over? Let me apply a personal touch. You need recurring service, I’d love to, while educating and learning at the same time.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
I can go down a very far rabbit hole on what and why I like about this industry. I think overall, there’s always more things coming out, more variants of fertilizer or grasses that keep individuals that are interested in their toes.
