This Pro's Story
Leonard's Lawn Care began with two brothers who shared a passion to work outdoors and provide a high quality service. Founder, Evan Leonard, has a history of serving the community as he works tirelessly to protect the city's citizens as a member of the Columbia Fire Department. You can expect to see many of the city's public service members mulching your gardens, edging your lawns, or trimming your shrubs.

How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
Hi! My name is Evan Leonard, and I am the founder of Leonard’s Lawn Care. I have been serving the city of Columbia as a firefighter for over 3 years. I started Leonard’s Lawn Care for three reasons: 1) I have a passion for helping others. 2) I love to be outdoors. & 3) I wanted to give other firefighters the opportunity to supplement their income on our days off. We offer just about any service you need: mowing, edging, trimming, weed eating, debris removal, mulching, straw installation, and more! You name it, we’ll do it!
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
I love being able to see the customers’ faces when we have done exceptional work. It always makes me happy to get a good review or receive a simple compliment.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
We service the greater Columbia area. We extend service to Irmo, West Columbia, Cayce, Chapin, and more! Just reach out and we will let you know how we can help!
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
As you can see in the previous company story, Leonard’s Lawn Care has given me the opportunity to help other firefighters better support their families and lifestyles. Along with this, we donate $1 from every cut to the Burned Children’s Fund at MUSC. This inspires me to work harder every day so that we can find ways to give back and help others.
What areas do you mainly service?
One of our biggest advantages is our firefighter background. We have been trained to handle situations very seriously and with the utmost care. Luckily for us, it is a little less stressful than going into a burning building!
