Lawncare Plus Services was started in March of 2012 by Maira and Orlando Vasquez. As a gift from a friend, the couple were given commercial grade lawn equipment after they had both decided to seek out another form of employment. Maira, having worked in real estate for many years, and Orlando being in the landscaping and construction business all of his life, made the transition to full time landscaping very easy for the couple.

Call it divine intervention because months after they got the business going, they landed a huge contract with a property preservation company and were mowing hundreds of properties a week. "We had to mow 16 hours a day/7 days a week," Maira explains. "It was very busy for us in the beginning."

After several years of only working with the property Preservation company, they decided they wanted to get into the residential market. "We loved what we did but wanted to branch out and work with people," Maira states. "Each home has a face and a family in it and we love seeing their faces when we transform their lawn."

Well we are glad you did.

Now the couple are servicing around 130 weekly residential customers in Pinellas County specializing in Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, Pinellas Park, St Pete, and St Pete beach to Indian Shores.

Not only will they handle your regular lawn maintenance, they will also handle your bush and shrub pruning, mulching, sodding, low level tree trimming, and gutter cleaning.

When asked what has helped maintain their dominance in the area, Maira explained "We have personal connections with all of our customers." She goes on to add that "we will follow up with phone calls during the week just to make sure that everything is going well and that nothing needs our attention."

When Maira and Orlando are not running the business they are heavily involved with their church, The Sanctuary of Seminole, and especially love working with the youth.

They also love their "cuddle" time with their 3 kids and dog.

How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?

Prior to starting our own business we had several years experience in landscaping, working for other companies. However in 2011, during a financial hardship a dear friend of our provided us with some lawn equipment and encouraged us to start a lawn maintenance company. As of today we are still in business.
