My name is Bret Helms. I have been in the lawn care industry for over 5 years. I got into lawn mowing when I was right out of high school. After I Graduated North Forsyth high school I started mowing lawns around my neighborhood because I really enjoyed being outside and I love the finished product of a nice manicured lawn. I quickly realized this was my passion, so I got a job working at Crabapple landscaping where I learned how to mow with commercial equipment such as zero turn, sit down, stand on mowers, and walk behind mowers, proper technique for weed eating and edging. I also learned tons about landscaping but I would have to say I prefer maintenance.

The key thing that separates me from the competition would have to be the pride I take in my work. I cut every single yard like it’s my very own. I want people to drive by the yards that I do, and know that a real professional takes care of the yard. I don’t care how long it takes, I make sure the yard looks flawless and that the customer knows that as long as I’m taken care of their property, they have nothing to worry about. My customers will always have trust that I will be there on schedule.

Not only do I have experience in mowing but I’m a certified turf tech. If they have any question about lawn fertilizer and weed control, I know the answer.

My lawn equipment is second to none. I’m running a 2016 Toro grandstand with Stihl Weed eater, Edger, hedge trimmer, and blower. I keep up with all of the maintenance on my equipment, so it performs as it should so the customers’ yards turn out amazing.

I love mowing grass because I love being outdoors. My hobbies include hiking, trailing, boating, and camping. I also enjoy playing sports like basketball, football, and baseball.
