My name is Justin and I am the owner of Labor Of Lawn, a family owned and operated business, in the DFW area. I was born and raised in this area and my wife is a native Texan. We ventured into this business because we believe in providing quality services at an affordable price. Everyone deserves to have a lawn they are proud to see and able to enjoy. We offer a variety of services to keep your lawn looking fantastic year round. We book Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays, and we offer weekly, biweekly(every two weeks), or monthly appointments. How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
I decided to start my own lawn care business after working for several years in the Telecom industry. I worked my way from an entry level position to management over an entire shop by emphasizing customer satisfaction and creating a healthy work environment for my employees. Despite having great scores and well performing technicians when a merger came I watched myself and all the highest, most qualified technicians be laid off. I had seen a decline in the last 5 years of various companies starting to care less and less not only about the customer, but about their employees as well. If you don't have a happy employee who cares about their job then you will not have a satisfied customer. At that point I decided to put all my efforts into my own business and creating something I believe this world needs. People treating people with respect and kindness and you can do this while providing a service.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
We understand that are homes are an extension of ourselves and everyone deserves for their lawn to look healthy and amazing. I have a huge attention to detail and make sure what I'm working on doesn't need any improvements before we move onto the next property. In fact, my wife gets on to me about it sometimes "Your over thinking it. It looks great!" I can't help it, I was raised to work hard and strive for perfection. I treat my clients yards like they are my own and honestly probably better. I spend extra time making your yard the best on your street, and if I have more than one house on the street I'm aiming to make your street the best in the neighborhood. Our customers mean the world to us ..... without you their is no Labor Of Lawn and that concept is not lost on us. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Labor Of Lawn Service Agreement This agreement is made and entered into between the client and Labor Of Lawn (hereinafter referred to as LOL) when the client and LOL agree upon lawn care services and schedule upon agreed property address. 1. Service Pledge – LOL wants our clients to be completely satisfied with all our services. Customer satisfaction and quality services are our main priority. 2. LOL Responsibilities and Duties: • All labor, equipment, and supplies required to perform the services agreed upon will be provided by LOL and completed in a professional manner. • LOL will attempt to clear patios, sidewalks, and driveways of grass cuttings. LOL will not purposely blow grass cuttings into street or sewers: per city ordinances. • LOL has and is responsible for maintaining liability insurance and providing on request. 3. Clients Obligations: • The client does not need to be present during service calls and here by grants permission to LOL and shall facilitate entry to access the property as scheduled or on otherwise agreed upon service days. If LOL cannot access yard no services will be performed. LOL will attempt to notify client of a No Entry Delay of Service and will resume services on the next scheduled date. • The client shall be responsible for removal of debris e.g. toys, pet toys, lawn furniture, playsets, trampolines, pet waste, rubbish, trash, water hoses, etc. that will hinder LOL from performing under this agreement. In the event objects are not removed from the area being serviced, LOL can choose to work around the debris and is not held liable for any damages that occur to said objects. Client understands it is their responsibility to remove objects from area being serviced. LOL also has the right to cancel services and resume services on the next scheduled date if the objects are moved. LOL will attempt to notify client of a Debris Delay of Service. • The client shall keep all pets secured inside a building and shall keep people away from LOL’s area of work for the safety of all parties concerned while LOL is on site at the property. LOL does not accept any liability if client lets animals or people out onto the property being serviced and are injured. • Clients are responsible for reviewing LOL’s Service Agreement regularly it is a living document and subject to change. 4. Disclosures: • On non-weather permitting days services will not be completed until next scheduled service date. LOL has the sole right to determine non-weather permitting days e.g. rain, thunderstorms, tornado watches/warnings, flood watches/warnings, high heat indexes, etc. and LOL shall attempt to contact the client letting client know it is a Bad Weather Delay of Service . • Repairs to client’s property because of storm damage, vandalism, personal use, animal damage, bad weather, or other conditions beyond LOL’s control will be the client’s sole responsibility. • LOL has the right to cancel any appointment or deny services if the client does not follow the client obligations listed above. • LOL employees will attempt to close and secure any gates as instructed by client, opened for services, but does not accept any liability if gate becomes unsecured. • LOL will take before and after pictures of property to post proof of quality services for marketing purposes. What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
I've been in lawn care and landscaping for 5 years and what started out as a new way to provide for my family has turned into a career I absolutely love. I get to spend everyday outside in the elements and while Texas can get very hot, I truly enjoy being out in the sun and when you're lucky a cool breeze. I get to help people improve and maintain their lawns. For some people they are too elderly and can't do it them selves, but we get to bring a smile to their faces knowing they still can still take pride in their lawn. Others simply don't have the time; work and school schedules can be non-stop or simply the few precious hours they get at home with their family they don't want to be laboring away maintaining their lawn. That's where Labor of Lawn gets to step in and check off one of those To Do boxes for you!
What areas do you mainly service?
We are currently servicing the Burleson and Crowley area. A couple days a week we are in Arlington and Mansfield and those areas are routed specifically to those days. We offer mowing, weed eating/trim, edging, and blowing leaf cuttings away those services are standard with every mow. Additionally, we offer fertilizer treatments every 6 weeks, bush trimming and maintenance services, tree trimming and removal, flower bed clean up and mulch, and leaf removal when that time of year comes.
