This Pro Story
Greetings human! First and foremost, I want to say "thank you" for taking the time to read my bio. If you're here, I'm guessing you're probably considering me for your lawn service provider. I actually began my company as a carpet cleaning business in 2009 and slowly transitioned into lawn service s. My company was borne out of necessity. In a nutshell: I have bills to pay, including saving money to send my three beautiful children to college. Although I still do carpet cleaning, landing mowing gigs is easier and mowing is keeping me busier than carpet cleaning at the moment, so I'm just rolling with it. My equipment is pretty standard run-of-the-mill commercial-grade equipment. Since upwards of 98% of my customers are residential, I have to stay lean and mean. My greatest concern is not being able to get past backyard gates, so I use mowers 36" or narrower. If the job calls for it, I also have 52" and 48" equipment that I can summon.
Lawn & Yard Services Offered:
How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
I have been in business since 2009 -- nitially with carpet cleaning -- and later adding lawn services to my portfolio. I enjoy the freedom that comes with the job, but best of all, I enjoy seeing the results of my hard work instantaneously. At the end of the day, if I know I haven't done a quality job, I know my customer will think likewise. I'm pretty hard on myself. I get hired to do a service, my customers pay me with their harf-earned money, and they expect me to deliver a quality result.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
I like most about this industry the intimate closeness to nature. I love the outdoors, and I love participating in the beautification of green spaces. Nature itself is perfectly beautiful, so I'm just adding my personal touch. The most interesting lesson I've learned about this industry and the work I do can be summarized in one word: efficiency. Folks who do this type of work have to be biomechanically efficient, and they have to be logistically efficient. If you are neither of these two, you will not survive in this industry.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
I like to stay north of FM 1960 - i.e. Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe. However, I will venture out as far west as Magnolia, and as far east as Porter. However, I will not limit myself geographically for commercial gigs, or in situations where I can land multiple accounts within close proximity, irrespective of geography. Like I mentioned before, if I can achieve logistical efficiency, I'm all in.
