Needing your Lawn Cut?
This Pro's Story
Greg Gahnz was in sales for 15 years and never thought that he would ever get back into lawn care. After his sales career, he was an armed security guard but always knew he wanted to get back into landscaping at some point in his life. So when the time came to take up landscaping again, he jumped at the chance and GG&G Lawn Services was born.
Greg has lived in Orlando his entire life and has no ambition of living anywhere else. "The Orlando community is great and has been very impactful in the growth of my business," Gahnz proudly boasts.
GG&G Lawn Services mainly services the Valusha County area but specifically cuts grass in Apopka, Florida, Lake Mary, Heathrow, Sweet Water Oaks, and also mows lawns in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Greg has amassed over 50 recurring homeowners and prides himself on staying small and being able to service all of his customers personally. "I mow every lawn by myself so I can assure that it has been mowed perfectly and to the homeowners expectations," Greg boasts. "I want every lawn to be the envy of the neighborhood."
When asked what has led to his success, Greg immediately says, "Mow high, keep it tight, and make it look like a golf course." He goes on to say, "I take my time on every lawn I cut and I take personal responsibility on every one if the customer is not happy. Mowing lawns is not a race and you have to take pride in your work to make sure you keep everyone happy."
Gahnz will not only keep your grass perfectly mowed but he can also handle your mulching, shrub and bush trimming, bed rejuvenation, sodding, low level tree trimming, and leaf removal.
He also credits his meticulous nature and his love for being outside as two main reasons for being in this industry. "I love being very detail oriented and the weather in Orlando is perfect for this type of work," Greg explains.
Greg loves to spend time with his wife and their Australian Sheppard. He also loves cruising around on his Harley Davidson when he gets the chance.
Gahnz and his wife love to frequent Aunt Catfishes on the River in Port Orange, Florida and also will eat Italian and Mexican anywhere.
Greg attended Colonial High School in Orlando graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Allied Legal Services.

How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
I have been in the professional green industry since 2000. How ever I got my first start by helping my dad on Saturday mornings. You see back then. Kids had to help their dads with the yard. So every Saturday . We would get started and it would cover the whole lawn. I lived on a corner lot. We did every thing. No short cuts at all. Or Dad would have you do it over. My mom would then come out and check the work. To make sure it was correct. This is where the attention to detail started.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
I believe your lawn is an extension of your environment. In stating this. I work very hard on an on going basis to improve your yard . Both during the cutting season as well the off season. When it comes to daily account type work. You will find that because I don't cut every. It gives your yard and my self the necessary time on your property. To achieve the golf course look.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
People that have invited my self and my company to come on their yard. Have benefited from the experience. In that there has been an improvement . Over the last vendor that they selected.
