This Pro's Story
Since 2001, Francisco Gonzales had always been working either full time or part time in landscaping. The full time delivery driver knew that he wanted to start his own company at some point so he finally partnered with his dad and Galacia Lawn Care was officially started in 2015.
Originally from Mexico, Francisco has lived in Texas since 1992 and now calls Houston home. "The people of Houston are great and I love the weather here," Gonzalez says. "We get to be outside 10 months out of the year and I get to do what I love every day."
Galicia Lawn Care services most of the downtown Houston area but specifically mows lawns in Sugar Land, Texas, Richmond, Katy, Spring, Mission Bend, Cinco Ranch, and evens cuts grass in Missouri City, Texas.
Francisco and his crew service over 50 homeowners and also have a few commercial properties in the area including multiple gas stations in Houston.
When asked what has led to his phenomenal growth, Gonzalez replies, "Our commitment to our customer." He adds, "Every customer we meet, we explain to them exactly what we are going to do and also to get their expectations of the service. We also put a satisfaction guarantee on all of our work so If a customer is not happy, we will come back out and fix any issue they have." Gonzalez prides himself on never having to advertise and that all of his business is 100% referral business.
Galicia Lawn Care can certainly handle your regular lawn mowing but can also do sprinkler installation and repair, mulching, planting, dirt leveling, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, sodding, aeration, low lever tree trimming, spring/fall clean outs, leaf removal, and any hardscaping.
His love for mowing and being outside is what has kept Francisco in the industry. "Mowing is like a hobby that I love to do," Gonzalez laughs. "It also pays me too!"
When he has the time, he loves spending time with his wife and 3 kids. He also love traveling back to Mexico to visit family and friends. Gonzalez frequents the mall with his family and enjoys taking them to the movies. Francisco is a master griller and loves putting on BBQ's for his family and friends.
Francisco attended Springwood High School on Gessner Road in Houston.
