0 ImagesHow many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
I’ve been doing landscaping work since 1996, starting as a freelance landscaper in Cleveland, Ohio, where I’m originally from. In 2023, I officially launched Fisher Lawn Care here in the Kansas City area. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a passion. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands and transforming outdoor spaces. Over the years, the work I’ve done on my own lawn has received many compliments from neighbors. Several of them asked me to care for their yards as well and referred me to others. That local support and encouragement inspired me to turn this passion into a small business!
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
My approach is all about quality over speed. While some companies rush through a job, I focus on the details such as clean edging, inspecting the lawn for potential problems, and even cleaning my mower blades between every job to prevent the spread of weeds or disease. I treat every yard like it's my own and believe in doing it right the first time!
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Don’t be swayed by the lowest bid! Cheap labor often leads to careless results. Look for someone who takes pride in their work and is willing to give honest recommendations to help your lawn thrive. A good lawn care provider should care about more than just cutting grass, they should care about the health and look of your entire yard.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
I love seeing the transformation of a well-maintained lawn and knowing I had a part in making a space look its best. There’s something satisfying about clean edges, fresh cuts, and healthy turf. Lawn care has always been more than just a job for me, it’s a chance to be outside, help others, and take pride in every yard I touch.
What areas do you mainly service?
I primarily serve residential customers in South Kansas City, including Grandview, Belton, Raymore, and Lee’s Summit. I am willing to service lawns within a 15 mile radius of Grandview.
