How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
We have been doing landscaping for 3 years, but just became an LLC in 2017. Our son graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Plant Biology in 2016. It is our dream to develop this company into a flourishing business that he can take over completely in 5-10 years.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
Simply put...we take the time to do the job right. We are a smaller company, and therefore, we don't carry the higher overhead of larger companies. If we are at a jobsite, chances are very good that 1, if not all 3, of the owners will be there performing the work. Unlike most larger companies, we do not push our employees to get the job done as fast as they can so that they can move on to the next job. We take great pride in our work, and we take the time to do the job right.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Hire someone that you are comfortable working with, and professional in their image and demeanor. There are 100's of landscape companies in Central Ohio to choose from, and the lowest bid more times than naught does not create the best outcome. Sit down and discuss the project with whomever you choose to work with. Make sure the expectations and desired result is understood by both parties. Also, be open to suggestions. It is very important that the contractor knows exactly what the customer wants, but be open to the contractor's suggestions.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
There are a couple of things: 1) Meeting new people and developing business relationships - we take the time to discuss the projects with the home or business owner upfront to determine their needs and expectations. Then our goal is to not only meet, but exceed, those expectations so that the customer is completely satisfied. The majority of our jobs are from repeat customers or word of mouth. 2) Every landscape is a canvas. It is our goal to turn that canvas into a beautiful work of art, We are a full-service landscape provider. This means that we are a one-stop shop for all of your landscaping, hardscaping and mowing needs.
What areas do you mainly service?
We are based in Hilliard, OH, and therefore try to primarily do business west of I-71. However, we do not restrict ourselves to just this area. We have done jobs as far away as Amanda, OH to West Mansfield, OH to Delaware, OH.
