How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
After moving from the East Coast, we wanted to bring our work ethic and hands-on experience to our new community. As a veteran, I’ve always believed in discipline, reliability, and service — and lawn care gives us a way to bring that to people's homes. My father and I teamed up to create Dixon Lawn Services as a family legacy.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
We’re veteran-owned, Black-owned, and family-run — and that means we treat every job with pride and professionalism. We show up on time, communicate clearly, and leave every yard looking sharp. Our attention to detail, reliability, and strong values set us apart.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Look for someone who’s consistent, communicates well, and treats your lawn like their own. Ask about reliability, equipment quality, and how they handle customer service. And don’t be afraid to support small, family-run businesses — we often go above and beyond.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
I enjoy transforming yards and seeing the results of hard work. It’s rewarding to serve the community, build trust, and work alongside my father doing something we’re proud of.
