How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
My name is Blake Lawson and I am the owner of Diamond Cutz. Diamond Cutz is a brand new lawn service that is just beginning to grow but landscaping has been a big part of my life for 20-25 years. I consider myself to have a quality 15-20 years of grass cutting & grooming experience. Also, I was a grounds-crew member for the Biloxi Shuckers for 2-3 years. How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
People have always accused me of being a perfectionist and I take pride in the fact that it is true. I pride myself off not just getting something done but making it look the best that it possibly can, even if it means taking just a little extra time to get it done. I’d rather do it great/correctly ONCE, rather than rushing through it just to say it’s finished and risking doing it wrong, messing it up, and then having to go back and possibly fix it.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
I have always loved and enjoyed fixing things that need fixing, cleaning the things that need cleaning, and grooming something that needs to be groomed. I love being the one to make good changes to something. I enjoy making something that doesn’t look so good, not only look good but look GREAT!
