Needing your Lawn Cut?
This Pro's Story
C&P Properties was started by Caroline McGill and Paul Wallace. They have been in the property preservation and lawn mowing business for over 8 years.
This eclectic duo came together out of sheer necessity and brought their skill sets to form one of Middle Tennessee's hottest landscaping companies.
"Paul knew the industry and had the equipment," Caroline explains, "but I had the trucks and the attention to detail." "We complement each other very well!"(update-Paul died in August 2018, my crew and I are still committed to what he and I started)
Caroline was born in Florida and has lived everywhere in the United States before finally settling down in Antioch, Tn. She has been here for over 20 years now and considers herself a true Nashvillian.
Their crew of 4 services most of middle Tennessee but specialize in the Antioch, Smyrna, La Vergne, Lebanon, Murfreesboro, and Nashville area. Not only will they leave your lawn looking like the 18th green at Augusta but they are also a full property preservation company.
Their services include, tree trimming and removal, gutter cleaning,, shrub pruning and trimming, and debris removal.
When asked what has led to their company's success, Caroline credits "being thorough, paying attention to detail and being completely honest with their customers."
This formula has earned them over 30 weekly customers and counting and high praises from them all.
When asked what drew Caroline to this business, she stated that she loved being outside. This gearhead loves tinkering with her 1987 Corvette, fishing at Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, and loves shooting her guns. "Bullets and my 6 pit bulls are my best friends," Caroline laughs.
Not only does Caroline take care of all of the company's paperwork but she also LOVES weed eating. "I am a wife/memaw by night and trimmer slinger by day!" she exclaims. "I love getting to a property and seeing that edge and looking at the finished job….It gives me a sense of accomplishment," I WANT YOUR YARD TO LOOK BETTER THAN YOUR NEIGHBORS!!!
When she is not weed eating, shooting, taking care of her puppies or fishing, Caroline enjoys spending time with a good book or movie. Her daughter and two grandchildren live in Wyoming and she has been known to make the 22 hour drive on occasion just to visit.
If you find that your property is needing that extra attention to detail, let the meticulous pros at C&P Properties get you squared away.
How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
C&P was started about 7 years ago. Had been doing foreclosed properties. Which included, but not limited to, lawn care, minor roof repairs, debris haul offs, tree trimming, mold abatement. I am the C- Caroline, P- Paul was my partner, he died in 2018.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
It is routine yet not routine. I wear headphoned w AM)FM tuned to my station, drowns out any background noise I may not want and allows me to be more focused and before I know it, task is done. Plus, when I am using the weed eater, I can sing along and no one can hear me! Another bonus is t to be outside and achieve very unusual tan lines!
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Try to stay South of 440, Antioch, LaVergne, Smyrna, parts of Murfreesboro and maybe branching into Mt. Juliet and Lebanon.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
While performing foreclosure requirements, we found the lawn care part to be the most satisfying ( immediate gratification). You arrive at a condemned ( and we have) building, mother nature taking it back....tame her just s bit and truly makes a difference and certainly adds to your curb appeal. The dollar amount / effort can be minimal or go all out.. I find it therapeutic.
What areas do you mainly service?
We treat our customer yards as if the yard was ours. We might trim a shrub or two, a low lying branch, pick up trash that may have blown into yard and we do not charge extra. With that being said, we do charge if there are multiple shrubs, etc.
